Black Hills & Badlands - September 17 - 21, 2017

From the four faces carved high on Mount Rushmore and the Cathedral Spires of Custer State Park to the otherworldly Badlands Ė the Black Hills are home to many truly monumental places.But thatís only some of what youíll find here. With over five million acres of forest, mountain lands and an oasis of prairie, the Black Hills is steeped in rich western history, abundant natural beauty and meaningful adventure. And now it's your turn to discover what's waiting for you in South Dakota. 

On Sunday, September 17th, we will transfer to the St. Louis airport for our flight to Rapid City, South Dakota. Check into the K Bar S Lodge for a four-night stay and visit Mt. Rushmore for the Evening Lighting Program. The next day, our first stop will be the town of Deadwood. Go "back in time" with a colorful local guide and explore some of the town's infamous places. Next, drive along the beautiful Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway and view the Tatanka project commissioned by Kevin Costner. Then we are off to the Homestake Gold Mine for a guided tram tour and dinner at Homestake Chophouse. 

On Tuesday, we head out for adventurous open-air jeep tour in Custer State Park, followed by a visit to the majestic Crazy Horse Monument and Visitor's Center. That afternoon, return to Mt. Rushmore for a stroll along the Trail of Presidents and visit the Lincoln Borglum Visitor Center and Museum, followed by dinner at the historic Ruby House Restaurant. The next day, we travel to the Badlands National Park, visit the famous Wall Drug and tour the historic downtown area of Rapid City, followed by dinner at the Alpine Inn.

On Thursday, September 21st, it's "All Aboard" for a nostalgic excursion on the vintage 1880's train through the Black Hills, along with a spectacular mountain view of Black Elk Peak. Our next stop is the Mt. Rushmore Black Hills Gold Factory for a tour and shopping in their outlet store. Then, we head back to the airport for our flight home, taking with us wonderful South Dakota memories.

Heroes & History Tour - November 7, 2017

Join us for a day celebrating heroes and history in Pulaski County! First, take a narrated driving tour of Fort Leonard Wood, a premier Army Center of Excellence training facility, followed by a visit to the Mahaffey Museum Complex and a walking tour of an authentic World War II company area. Then, turn your attention to Historic Route 66 with lunch at the Route 66 Diner and a driving tour along the Mother Road.

Trip includes motorcoach transportation, all tour fees, lunch at the Route 66 Diner, and the Driverís Tip. Cost is $59.00/pp.
