FCNB Cares: Government Shutdown Assistance Program

FCNB Bank is here to support federal employees(1) affected by the government shutdown. The Government Shutdown Assistance Program offers temporary relief to help bridge the gap. We are here to help!

Participants may be eligible for:

  • Loan Assistance – FCNB Bank is offering 0% APR(2) loans up to $5,000 for 90 days to those that qualify. The loan is to be repaid when the government shutdown ends and backpay is awarded.(3)
  • Overdraft Forgiveness – FCNB Bank is offering Overdraft Forgiveness on deposit accounts for 90 days to those who qualify. Normal overdraft limits apply based on the type of checking account.(4)
  • Penalty Free CD Withdrawal – FCNB Bank is offering early CD withdrawals without penalties for 90 days to those that qualify. This offer may be extended to family members that are providing support to federal employees affected.

Standard Form 50 (SF-50), Federal Agency ID Card, Appointment Affidavit, Notification of Personnel Action, Form I-9, etc. accepted. 2 Annual Percentage Rate. 3 Requirements: 620 Minimum Credit Score, Direct Deposit into a FCNB account required, $0 loan origination fee, 90-day term, single pay, unsecured note. 4 Must be requested prior to utilizing the Overdraft Assurance program. Direct deposit must be credited to a FCNB account.
